TCC Art Corridor II Presents Peter Helms Feresten: “…my thoughts wander to the south side of town”

FORT WORTH, Texas (Feb. 1, 2012)

WHAT:
An exhibit, Peter Helms Feresten: “…my thoughts wander to the south side of town,” is a composite vignette of the late photographer Peter Feresten’s portfolio. It focuses on his “strong affinity for the south side of Fort Worth” and documents “marginalized and unfamiliar parts of the city.”

WHEN:
Thursday, Feb. 2, through Thursday, March 9
Hours:  Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Opening Reception:
Thursday, Feb. 2, 5 to 7 p.m.

OTHER:
A native of Fall River, Mass., Feresten was trained in the social sciences and studied comparative religion at Columbia University and fine art at the Rhode Island School of Design. He moved to Fort Worth in 1975 and taught photography at TCC for many years.
