Tarrant County College’s dedication to strengthening equity by fostering an environment of inclusion throughout the District recently was recognized by the Association of Community College Trustees.
Members of TCC’s Board of Trustees and Chancellor Erma Johnson Hadley accepted the AACT Equity Award touting the College for initiatives that maximize student success. These included the addition of an office of institutional diversity, mandatory advising, as well as Weekend College. Also cited was a diversity summit for students, faculty, and staff, and the involvement of individuals from all backgrounds in the college planning processes.
