FORT WORTH, Texas (Oct. 19, 2011)
Area high school students and their parents are invited to learn about educational opportunities at Tarrant County College during a fun-filled “Rock Your Future” Advisory Expo Saturday, Oct. 22, at Northeast Campus, 828 W. Harwood in Hurst.
The expo includes entertainment and complimentary food in the Center Corner of the Student Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Full Frontal Entertainment will be the DJ, and live music will be performed by the TCC NE Campus Faculty/Student Jazz Combo.
Drawings will be held hourly for door prizes including an Amazon Kindle, 17 TCC scholarships for $150, gift cards to Follett Books and Sweeney’s College Books and a one-night stay at Holiday Inn Express. Door prize tickets are earned by visiting the various information tables.
All academic departments and services will be represented at the information tables including Counseling/Advising, Distance Learning, Dual Credit, Registrar and Veterans Services.
TCC’s Financial Aid staff will be on hand to help students fill out their Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FASFA). NE Financial Aid Director Consuela Mitchell will present several sessions about financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
Advisors also will be available in TCC’s 42-foot Mobile Go Center, which provides access to college preparation and admission process resources.
