FORT WORTH, Texas (Sep. 21, 2011)
Tarrant County College officials invite the community to celebrate with fun and food at the grand opening of the Trinity River East Campus, Center for Health Care Professions Saturday, Oct. 1.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., guests can enjoy live music, complimentary food, and guided tours. The opening of the health-care professions facility brings Nursing and other Allied Health programs together in one location. Complete with a real-world simulation hospital and skills labs, Trinity River East Campus opened Aug. 29 with more than 700 students.
In addition to Nursing, programs include Surgical Technology, Radiologic Technology, Health Information Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant, Respiratory Care, and Long Term Care Administration. All fully accredited, the programs produce licensed professionals to help meet the rapidly growing health-care needs of Tarrant County. Near Fort Worth’s medical district, the new location of the Allied Health programs will also open pathways to expanded partnerships with the health-care industry.
The campus is located at 245 E. Belknap Street in downtown Fort Worth. Free parking for the event will be available in TCC parking lots A and B at the intersection of Belknap and Jones streets, and in the Tarrant County Family Court Garage at the intersection of Calhoun and Weatherford streets.

Guests should RSVP by Sept. 28 at www.tccd.edu/RSVP. In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8.
