TREC Honored for Environmental Impact

Trinity River East Campus, within its first month of operation, has been recognized for how it protects its environment both now and in the future. Downtown Fort Worth Inc., presented its prestigious Trailblazer Award in the category of sustainable development to TREC Sept. 16 at the Omni Hotel. The event was covered in the Star-Telegram Saturday, Sept. 17.

Environmental-friendly features that contributed to the awarding of the recognition include its use of natural light, the outdoor plaza complete with its water feature and shaded areas. Classes began for 700 students Aug. 29.  Programs located in the 148,000-square-foot Center for Health Care Professions include Health Information Technology, Long Term Care Administration, Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Care and Surgical Technology.
