Napoleon Brandford III, chairman and co-founder of the nation’s only minority/woman-owned investment banking underwriting firm, will be the speaker at Tarrant County College’s spring commencement. The ceremonies will be conducted Friday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fort Worth Convention Center, 1201 Houston Street.
TCC’s 43rd Annual Spring Commencement will confer associate degrees and certificates of completion to the 1,867 expected to participate. The number includes those eligible for degrees from the summer and fall 2010 and spring 2011.
Brandford is chairman and co-founder of Siebert Brandford Shank & Co., LLC, which for the first time since its establishment in 1996, is ranked eighth in the nation for senior-managed underwriting transactions.
Since 2002, Brandford has served as project manager on senior and sole-managed financings exceeding $5.9 billion. He was co-founder and vice chairman of Grigsby Brandford & Co., Inc., the premier African-American owned municipal underwriting firm in the nation. Brandford earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, with a specialization in Administration of Local Government, from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Purdue University.
