TCC Forensics Team Tops at National Competition

FORT WORTH, Texas (Apr. 22, 2011)

The Tarrant County College Northeast Campus Forensics Team took top honors at the 2011 Phi Rho Pi National Tournament April 11-16 in Greenwich, Conn.

Sean Gilliland was a gold winner in Parliamentary Debate. Gilliland is the first student to win gold for Northeast Campus. Elizabeth Price and Courtney Stewart both earned bronze awards in Dramatic Interpretation and Prose Interpretation.

The Northeast Team also was a silver winner in the overall Debate Sweepstakes and a bronze winner in the Overall Sweepstakes.

Team coaches are NE Campus faculty and staff members Lisa Benedetti, Jacob “Jakie” Cabe, Matthew Kennedy, Paulinda Kurg and Stephen Thomas.
