Tarrant County College Team Nears Completion of Robot

ARLINGTON, Texas (Feb. 17, 2011)

WHAT:

A team of 16 local high school students sponsored by Tarrant County College is working to complete the construction of a robot for the regional Project FIRST robotics competition set for April 7-9 in Dallas. The group, assisted by Bell Helicopter engineers and Tarrant County College student mentors, will be TCC’s first team to participate in the annual competition, which is designed to inspire future science and technology leaders.

The team was developed by TCC Southeast Campus, and participation in the project is funded by a grant from Bell Helicopter and by assistance from JCPenney.
