Dallas DA Craig Watkins Discusses Innocence Project at TCC South Campus African-American Heritage Month Program

Tarrant County College South Campus will host an African-American Heritage program featuring Dallas District Attorney Craig Watkins talking about “The Innocence Project,” a nonprofit organization that works to secure “the release of those wrongfully convicted of serious crimes in the state of Texas.”

OTHER:
The Innocence Project of Texas currently is “working in partnership with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office to review hundreds of previously denied post-conviction requests for DNA testing filed by inmates convicted of offenses in Dallas County,” according to the group’s website. The project is responsible for 42 exonerations statewide, including one in Tarrant County and 20 in Dallas County.
