Northwest Campus Office of Continuing Education Services has partnered with the Society of Human Resource Management to offer two new Human Resources classes in the fall at TCC’s AllianceTexas Corporate Training Center in north Fort Worth.
Classes are designed for HR professionals at all levels. Essentials of HR Management is a five-week course that meets every Monday from Sept. 13 through Oct. 11. It provides basic skills for small business owners and professionals entering HR, as well as for HR administrators. Topics include Human Resource Management, Employment Law, Recruitment and Selection, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Development and Performance Management. Registration is $475 and includes course materials.
A 12-week course, The SHRM Learning System, helps professionals prepare for the PHR/SPHR certification exam. New requirements are scheduled to take effect in 2011. Professionals must have a minimum of two years of HR exempt-level experience. Registration is $950 and includes all course materials. The class meets every Tuesday from Sept. 14 through Nov. 30.
