Trinity River Campus’ David Blair welcomes everyone to get a first look at the East Fork Gallery’s newest art exhibition when it opens this Saturday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m.
An opening reception will introduce the “Organic Metal” indoor/outdoor exhibition and will feature a talk by artist Richard Baggett and include a complimentary light brunch.
Baggett, a Fort Worth native, has exhibited his metal work both nationally and abroad. Pieces by the blacksmith and sculptor range from large organic shapes composed of two-ton granite pedestals to mythical plant-like structures crafted through what he calls “thousands of tiny touches” to the metal.
The East Fork Gallery is located on Level 1 of the East Fork Building at Trinity River Campus. Parking is available in the garage off of Belknap St.
The exhibit will run through April 3. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. For more information, contact David at 817-515-1381 or neil.blair@tccd.edu.
There is no cost for admission, so be sure to bring your friends and family for a special Valentine’s weekend outing!
