Students returning to TCC for the spring semester have a variety of activities to make the transition a smooth one.
Students at Trinity River Campus can enjoy breakfast Tuesday in the new Trinity Math and Sciences Wing and Wednesday lunch including hot dogs and nachos on Main Street. Coffee and snacks will be available Thursday for students attending evening classes. Cocoa also will be served at various times. Additionally, faculty and staff will greet and direct students from 7 a.m. through evening classes both Tuesday and Wednesday. They also will give away TCC-TR drawstring bags and maps of the campus.
At Northeast Campus Tuesday through Thursday in and around the Communications Arts (NCAB) and Technology and Arts buildings (NTAB), students can get a free drink and pick up information about clubs and upcoming events.
Students on Northwest, South and Southeast campuses can learn about clubs and organizations Wednesday and Thursday. Clubfest on Northwest will be held on the first floor of the outside theater (WTLO). Students can enjoy free popcorn and drinks as they visit with representatives from campus organizations about the groups’ mission, purpose, meeting times and future events.
First Impressions is the theme of the South Campus initiative where faculty and staff serve up hot chocolate, hot apple cider and light snacks to students as they provide directions, campus maps and help resolve class schedule conflicts. Students will have the opportunity to learn about campus organizations, enjoy music, free popcorn and other activities next week during Club Fest Jan. 28 in the Student Center Cafeteria.
Southeast’s Club Expo in the Commons will include representatives from more than 30 student organizations recruiting new members.
