FORT WORTH, Texas — Tarrant County College’s Automotive Service Technology program has been re-accredited by the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation, reinforcing the College’s reputation for high-quality industry training.
ASE commended TCC South, which hosts the program, for upholding curriculum standards that meet the evolving needs of the automotive service industry.
“This accreditation reflects the hard work and dedication of our exceptional faculty and staff,” said TCC South President Daniel Lufkin. “It underscores our commitment to equipping students with the hands-on skills and technical knowledge they need to be job ready on day one.”
The Automotive Service Technology program trains students to inspect, maintain and repair cars and light trucks. Students learn how to repair or replace damaged mechanical parts plus how to diagnose and repair problems with transmissions and other systems.
Lufkin added that in an industry that urgently needs skilled technicians, TCC stands out, “thanks to the strong support of our business and industry partners who serve on advisory boards and provide valuable internship and apprenticeship opportunities.”
The program offers an associate degree and multiple certifications. Financial aid is available to eligible students, including full-ride scholarships funded by Autobahn Fort Worth, a luxury car dealership.
