In keeping with TCC’s commitment to serve the community, several events are taking place across the District in observance of Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 to October 15.
Events are open to the public and include:
Baila Con Toro kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month on September 19 at 12:30 p.m. in the TCC Northeast Student Center Café. Guests will learn the basic techniques of salsa, merengue and bachata. No experience necessary.
On September 20, the Latin American Music Festival will take place in the TCC Southeast North Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. While enjoying several different foods from different regions of Latin America, guests also will enjoy performances from area Hispanic musicians.
During the Hispanic Owned Business Panel Discussion, held September 26 at 12:30 p.m. in the TCC South Student Center 2105 Living Room, join Fort Worth business and community leaders as they discuss the impact and importance of Hispanic commerce to our city.
TCC invites community members to the 14th Annual Abrazando al Exito, an evening honoring, recognizing, celebrating, and inspiring Latino/Latina students working hard to accomplish their higher education goals at TCC. The event takes place starting at 5 p.m. on September 26 in the TCC Trinity River Action Suites.
TCC Northwest offers Cultura y Comunidad, where guests can come for a treat while learning about the Hispanic Culture and available campus resources. October 4, 10 am to Noon, NW05, First Floor Lobby.
