Tarrant County College has been recognized as one of the nation’s top online community colleges by Intelligent.com, a resource for online degree rankings and higher education planning.
TCC ranked #11 on the Top 50 Community Colleges for 2021 with the distinction of Best Short-Term Certificates. TCC also earned the top spot in Texas.
Intelligent.com assessed programs at nearly 1,200 accredited colleges and universities across the nation. Evaluations were based on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation and post-graduate employment.
TCC offers 68 Associate of Applied Science degrees, 132 certificates of completion and 18 occupational skills awards. The College’s sixth campus, TCC Connect, offers 18 fully online programs and more than 350 online college credit courses.
The 2021 rankings are calculated through a unique scoring system, which includes student engagement, potential return on investment and leading third party evaluations. Intelligent.com analyzed 1,187 schools, on a scale of 0 to 100, with only 50 making it to the final list. The methodology also uses an algorithm that collects and analyzes multiple rankings into one score to easily compare each school.
According to Intelligent.com, individuals with an associate degree earn an average annual salary pf $52,830. By comparison, the average salary for individuals with only a high school diploma is $36,100, a difference of $16,730.
