Take notice that a Finance & Audit Committee Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Tarrant County College District will be held telephonically/video conferencing at the District Offices, 1500 Houston Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76102, commencing at Noon on Friday, August 28, 2020, to consider and act on the following Agenda:

  1. Call to Order
  2. Public Comment/No Presentation (No presentation shall exceed three minutes)
  3. Approval of October 22, 2019, Meeting Minutes
  4. Deliberation on Audit Reports
    1. Final Audit Report – Tuition Waivers and Exemptions
    2. Final Audit Report – Safety Program
    3. Fiscal Year 2021 Audit Plan
    4. Letters to State Auditor’s Office on Hotline Complaints
      1. Early College High School admission
      2. Personnel Matter – Storage of Assets
      3. Personnel Matter – Conflict of Interest
  5. Deliberation on Engagement of Certified Public Accountant Firm
  6. Closed Session
    The Board will conduct a closed meeting in order to discuss matters permitted by the following sections of Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.

    1. Section 551.071, Consultation with Attorney
      To seek the advice of its attorney about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers, or any matter in which the duty of the attorney to the District under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
    2. Section 551.072, Deliberations Regarding Real Property
      Deliberate the purchase, sale, exchange, lease or value of real property where deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the District in negotiations with a third party.
    3. Section 551.074, Deliberations on Personnel Matters
      Deliberate appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee.
    4. Section 551.076, Deliberations on Security Devices or Security Audits
      Deliberate regarding the deployment, or specific occasions for implementation, of security personnel or devices.
  7. Consideration and Action on Closed Session Items
