FORT WORTH, Texas (Sept. 3, 2014) Tarrant County College campuses will host numerous career events this fall to help students and community members find meaningful employment. Job fair attendees are encouraged to come dressed professionally with copies of their résumé and their “elevator speeches” ready.
At the Employers on Campus job fair, held on the Northwest Campus, 4801 Marine Creek Pkwy., on Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., TCC students and alumni will meet with area employers. Students, faculty and staff will learn about community agencies and ways to serve their communities at the Get Your Serve On service learning/volunteer fair at the South Campus, 5301 Campus Drive, Sept. 18. The Career Mentor Meet-up Luncheons at the Southeast Campus, 2100 Southeast Pkwy., Arlington, on Oct. 3 and Nov. 7, from noon to 2 p.m., gives students opportunities to meet with career professionals from various disciplines who can help build a bridge to a successful and rewarding career. On Oct. 15, the Northeast Campus will hold a Recruitment Fair on the NSTU Lawn Area from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Part of the campuswide October Fall Fest, the fair will include eight to 10 employers who will be on hand to speak with students seeking full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.
