CROWLEY, Texas (Dec. 14, 2012)
Tarrant County College and the Crowley Independent School District will host a grand opening early next year, introducing Crowley residents to their new educational partnership at the recently established Crowley South Campus Center (CSCC).
The celebration will be Monday, Jan. 7, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Bill R. Johnson Career Technology Center, 1033 McCart in Crowley.
CSCC resulted from the response of the community college and the local school district to the business community’s request to grow an educated workforce by increasing college educational opportunities.
It is projected to serve 1,000 dual credit students and traditional academic transfer, workforce development, developmental education and continuing education students. The 50,000-square-foot facility initially will house basic courses including anatomy and physiology, English, social science and teacher education. Additionally, a limited number of computer classes and business applications will be offered. Planned future offerings include computer aided drafting and design, general biology, and math, along with a limited number of graphics courses.
