Career, health, organizations and refreshments all come together Wednesday, April 7, with South Campus Spring Into Action activities. A career job fair and health fair, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., start the day in the Student Center.
Employers will provide information about a variety of jobs including full and part time, entry level and professional positions. At the health fair, health screenings for diabetes, high blood pressure and physical fitness will be available. There also will be blood and marrow donor drives and HIV testing. Health-related information and community health resources will be on hand.
Refreshments will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during Spring Fling in the Student Center Patio. Campus student organizations will provide details about their groups. Games and other activities will be available.
A 2-mile walk/run begins at 2:30 p.m. in the gymnasium. Check-in begins at 2 p.m. The entry fee is a minimum $5 donation or five travel-sized toiletry items. Benefiting the American Red Cross, the event is sponsored by the Health and Physical Education Department, Student Activities and Community Outreach. Donations must be made by check payable to the American Red Cross.
