The recent holiday was a little brighter for 150 individuals from the Arlington Life Shelter Nov. 30 when they feasted on a sumptuous dinner prepared and served by students in the Southeast culinary, dietetics and hospitality program. The families, who were bused to the campus from the shelter in downtown Arlington, were also entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus (portrayed by Violet O’Valle and Tim Ramsey). The families also received gifts and supplies thanks to the Southeast Student Services department that collected donations. The CHSO (culinary/hospitality student organization) added to festive mood by preparing colorful centerpieces for the feast. You made the families happy, Southeast, but you make us very proud.
