TCC is headed for another Districtwide enrollment record, with more than 44,000 credit students currently registered for classes. Though not official until the Sept. 9 Census Day, the approximate 12 percent increase is without a doubt the result of joint efforts including increased enrollment in popular Distance Learning courses, the opening of Trinity River Campus and the dedication and hard work of faculty and staff on all campuses.
Local news media have picked up on the great news. Stories this week included Fort Worth Star-Telegram articles and coverage in newscasts on Channels 8, 11 and 33.
Channel 33 goofed in a story when it said we have 101,000 students, but rest assured the TCC Public Relations and Marketing Office has called them regarding this and the fact they called us Tarrant County Community College. Seems they added together the overall District enrollment to the enrollment on each campus. Okay, some days it seems like we have 101,000 but not quite yet.
